Every Bear Buddy is made with Biomaster antimicrobial technology built directly into the silicone itself. It is the same technology trusted across healthcare, food service and everyday consumer products worldwide, and we chose it because it does exactly what a teether needs: it keeps working quietly in the background, wash after wash, chew after chew.

Biomaster does not make Bear Buddy sterile, and it is never a substitute for cleaning it regularly. What it does is give the silicone an extra, permanent layer of protection against the bacteria that can build up on any surface a baby puts in their mouth.

How It Works

Silver ions, working around the clock

Biomaster uses silver ion technology, added into the silicone during manufacturing rather than sprayed on afterwards. When bacteria land on the surface, the silver ions get to work in three ways.

Step One

Stops Growth

The silver ions interfere with the bacteria's ability to grow and multiply on the surface of Bear Buddy.

Step Two

Cuts Off Energy

They disrupt how bacteria produce energy, effectively switching off the processes that keep them alive.

Step Three

Stops Replication

Finally, they block the bacteria from replicating, so they cannot spread or build up on the surface over time.

Built In, Not Sprayed On

Protection that cannot wash off or wear away

A lot of antimicrobial claims come from a coating on top of a product, something that can fade, scratch off, or wash away after a few uses. Biomaster works differently. It is mixed into the silicone itself before Bear Buddy is even moulded, so the protection runs all the way through the material rather than sitting on the surface.

That means it is still there after the hundredth wash, the hundredth chew, and the hundredth trip through the fridge for a chilled soothe. It is permanent for the lifetime of the product, not a temporary treatment.
